After leaving Central, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi for one year. I married in 1964 and moved to California until 1966. We came back to Tennessee to attend school and divorced in 1968. I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1968 and taught school in Mauldin, S.C. for three years.

I moved to the Atlanta area to be with family in 1972. I married my current husband in 1978 and have been happily married ever since. He has three children from previous marriages and we have raised his youngest son since we got married. We have four beautiful grandchildren who live about an hour away.

My career has been mainly in customer service and inside sales. I held various positions in accounting and customer service until 1990. I worked for Plaid Enterprises for 17 years starting out in customer service and ending as Inside Sales Manager.

After being laid off in 2007, I was lucky to find employment as an Operations Coordinator with Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Cooling and am still working there. My husband has retired and I look forward to doing so in a couple of years.
