JAMES A. HOLCOMB JR., 56, of Memphis, freelance artist, died Sept. 7 at Cordova Rehab & Nursing Center. Graveside services were Saturday at Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home had charge. He leaves a daughter, Lisa Ferri of Memphis; a son, Ross Holcomb of Martin, Tenn.; his father, James A. Holcomb of Florida; three sisters, Noni Gardner of Lake Forest, Ill., Jamie Henwood of Memphis and Susan Grove of St. Simons Island, Ga.; two brothers, Dr. Hampton A. Holcomb of Memphis and David Harrington of Clearwater, Fla., and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Hope Christian Community Foundation Jay Hatchett Holcomb Fund.
