Harold White Hatcher
February 24, 1945 - November 27, 2008
Harold W. Hatcher, 63, much loved husband of Sandy and father of Mack, passed away on Thursday, November 27th 2008, from complications of Leukemia.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 24, 1945, to Everette M. Hatcher, Sr. and Thelma Tritt Hatcher, he attended Central High School in Memphis, and later received a law degree from Memphis State University. Initially working for the state of Tennessee as a lawyer, he later joined his brother and father in the family businesses, Chickasaw Broom Works, in Memphis, and Little Rock Broom Works, in Arkansas.
Harold enjoyed his work and a life-long love of learning, but his center was his love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Sandra DeVall Hatcher and son John (Mack) Hatcher of Little Rock; his loving siblings, sister Nancy Hatcher Kitchen of Crosby, Texas, and brother Everette Hatcher, Jr. and wife Jane, of Memphis, Tennessee; nephew and business partner Everette Hatcher III, of Bryant, AR, and nieces Beth Sayles, Vicki Parks, and Nancy Daniels of Tennessee; Kim McClure , Kelley Kratky, Kandace Kitchen, and Kary Denny, of Texas, as well as their spouses and children. All thank the Lord for Harold’s life, and know that He who gives us such great gifts in each other would surely never take them away forever; He has promised we will be together again.
