Southaven - CHARLOTTE B. CATES, 62, homemaker, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Methodist
University Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Cates was born November 4, 1944 in Memphis, TN and was a
member of Southaven First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14 from 6-9 p.m.
at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Services will be Wednesday, August 15 at 1 p.m. at Southaven
First United Methodist Church with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. She is survived by
her husband of 22 years, Joe Cates of Southaven; two sons, Jackie Jackson of Southaven and Bobby
Jackson of Southaven; one stepson, Joseph A. Cates, Jr. of Southaven; two daughters, Susan McKinney of
Horn Lake, MS and Cheryl Shaw of Southaven; three stepdaughters, Vickie Bullock of Southaven, Sherrie
Akin of Horn Lake, and Pam Cooper of Destin, FL; two brothers, Tommy Boillot of Memphis and David Young
of Red Banks, MS; one sister, Paula Hilborn of Arlington, TN; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Decatur and Alice Young and one granddaughter, Lindsey
Kaitlyn Shaw. The family requests that memorials be made to Southaven First United Methodist Church or
