This one's not a great picture and the lighting sucks, but it's for Phil, who couldn't make it up the long flight of stairs to see it. Batu Caves is a fascinating and beautiful setting for a Hindu temple. After climbing the initial 272 steps you will enter a huge cavern with several shrines. Climbing another 20 or more steps will take you to this temple. It is surrounded by walls of the ancient limestone caves. A circular hole above the temple leads to the heavens.
