Phil, she may have seen both Tim & my cameras but she was obviously very tickled by the attention. It probably isn't everyday that she sees foreigners coming to her neighbourhood and taking pictures of her and her schoolmates. So she must be enjoying being in the spotlight! Tim, I appreciate the comment you made here too. I also want to add that in my observations, children seldom hold back their feelings. It is such a joy to see their pure, uninhibited reactions such as hers, especially when they are happy or excited.

In the West we have little interactions with Muslims and, I fear, have tended to group them in a bunch. This image reminds me that beneath the covering there are personalities and persons.
