The Fatimid Port has seen grander days and even grander schemes. It was from here that an invasion of Egypt was launched in the 11th century, but now, only little of it remains. These structures, although a reminder of its important past, now stand mysteriously in the moonlight, uncertain of its purpose or future, as new life grows around it.
