I didn't know I had to sign in, Cecilia. I am the "guest" of the most recent comment, which comes with much love and appreciation!

This image stopped and stunned me, instantly, such a beautiful composition with its gentle diagonal slope, the little tombstones standing as though an audience before the moon, sky and placid water, drinking in the sight, while the resting souls migrate back into the ocean from which all life came. How appropriate is the location of this grave yard, and what a fine "view" for those who have gone on. The sky and its great "star" are worth the price of admission to lie sleeping there, alone!
Another astonishing image, Celia. The dead seem to drift on a gorgeous purple sea --this image keeps moving in front of my eyes. It is abstraction, incongruity and human values all in one. The darkness of night cloaks the scene in mysterious light -- the moon seems to light one side, yet the graves are illuminated from the other side as well. To see these graves virtually floating to the sea is a strange and and symbolic incongruity. The human value you seem to express here most vividly is irony. It seems very ironic that in such a poor land, where life can be so hard and punishing, that death can make port in such an enchantingly beautiful harbor.
