Visited taiwan Taipeh from 1st to 10th May 2014. Stayed with my niece so no hotel bills an no tour. DIY and its actually quite easy to get around in Taipeh. Visited Yehliu Geopark (entrance fee 80nt, Chiu Fen and Pinxi - hired a taxi for that 2700nt for 8 and a half hours for the four of us. Took a bus to Keelung (30 mins and 40nt) stayed at a small hotel known as Fu Chia Hotel for 1480nt one night and visited the 3 am night fish market, the Miao Kuo Food night market at Ai San Lu (just over about 10 minutes for each of them from the hotel). Next morning check out and took a taxi to Siang Tong a cave temple then continue to Hepa Island about 200nt. Then 600nt to get back to Taipeh.
Took the MRT all the way to the end at Tamsui then took a bus number 26 to the fisherman's wharf.The only day the sky was shining and blue.
