I suppose it does if you piss him off, at that time in the morning he was sunning himself (assume its a he) and he blocked the whole pathway - could not get across.
So, I took quite a few shots of him but stayed like at least 3 ft away from him. Its like 5 minutes before he decides to move off.

This is a monitor lizard and this guy is rather large - about 5 feet from headto tip of tail.
