Mathew and the Mandarins, a country and western band in Singapore during its heyday in the 80s when there were tons of American oil riggers staying in Singapore and when country and western music were at its peak, were famous and was even invited to Nashville to perform and recorded a country and western song called "Singapore Cowboy", and this song was pretty popular in Singapore.
Time has pass, country and western music is not as popular anymore (but line dancing has a big following here)and age caught up with all of us.
