Normally a day trip from 9am to 5pm is 1000 Baht excluding tip.
Stayed 2 nights at Chiang Mai then book at tour 5200 baht per person inclusive of transport, hotel, and food for 3 days 2 nights at Chanrai and then came back and stayed 2 more nights in Chiang Mai.
At Chanrai, the best hotel to stay in would be the Wiang Inn Hotel which is just beside the centre point shopping area right in the middle of town.
One thing we missed which is regretful would be the long necks village in Chiang Mai.
Do not go in March, it is hot and humid and smoky and unhealthy as March is slash and burn month.
