Nice capture of the hummingbird and I have to comment that it's not a good idea to add color to the water. I use a mix of 1 1/3 cups of water and 1/3 cup of sugar and nuke it till it boils then let it cool before I put it in the feeder. The water has to be changed frequently and the feeder cleaned each time, especially if you see black fungus in it. That can kill the birds. Please excuse me if you don't need this lecture. I think with the reduced population of insects, which seems to get worse every year, we have fewer and fewer birds, and I've noticed a reduction in the number of hummers that visit my feeder.
