Push Pin Planet
by ifotog

The center of a dandelion has alway fascinated me :)

This was an "experimental" image in that it was taken outside after sunset in near darkness.
There was just enough light that I could "almost" see to focus.
I used the twin light macro flash setup with a ratio (I don't remember now what) for 100% of the exposure light.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5X Macro
1/200s f/16.0 at 65.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

This looks like something i've never seen in my life, and yet i've seen millions of them....all in my garden. An unusual shot expertly captured.

As much as I like the image of BooBoo, I'm going to select this as my favorite based on the effectiveness of the composition and the detail in this macro. Wonderful image.

This is outstanding! I get the impression we're inside a black sphere and the soft ends of each "pin" connects to it.
