Some critters are harder to show in their natural state than others. The wormsnake spend most of its life buried in the ground. Most images show specimens dug up and laid out for an ID photo. Here is one from my terrarium showing the snake emerging from a burrow that happened to run right up against the glass of the tank. As usual, it might look better without the dirt on the face but you get dirty if you burrow.
