Found this assignment quite challenging - open to many interpretations. In the end decided to go with this one for the variety and uniformity of it both in shape and colour. Here are the other 8 images that I considered.

You've captured the different shapes, sizes and texture of the nuts perfectly - I love the old nutcrackers as well - completes a lovely picture..
