I found this a bit tricky as it's very low key--actually I find wood tricky,
period. I waited until the sun had set and it was getting dusky. I put
the mask on a table parallel to a west window, so light was
still coming in but no direct light, and it was starting to
get dark. The mask was angled slightly towards the window on
the left, and on the right I used a white foamcore board to
bounce a bit of light on the right of the face. I tried it using a
bounce flash, but liked this result better--no lighting. No room
lights on. I metered off a gray card filling the frame. Any suggestions
as to how I could have done it better are most welcome! :O)
