june 19 sad cabbage
by noearlybird

I had plans to take and post a glorious sun-filled, lush vegetative picture from my family garden. However some kind of critter, a large groundhog or woodchuck? and his family has discovered my garden and has moved in. He and family have completely destroyed every cucumber plant and is now working on the cabbage.

I've had this garden for 14 years and have never had troubles like this with animals. I have always gladly shared with a few rabbits or whatever, they never were this greedy and ate all the leaves and more. It is probably too late to plant anymore cabbage so we are all sad here. My next door neighbor has his rifle aimed because he believes when the critter is done snacking on my garden he will come to his garden.

Gardening is hard work and pain.

Looks like you're now living in a war zone !
I'll simply imagine what you wanted your image to look like...
