Chess Anyone?

I've always wanted to try a zoom burst, so here one is.
I used the 24-105mm lens on manual set to f/8 with a shutter
speed of a little less than 1sec. Once you press the shutter,
you zoom in manually. The trick seems to be not too zoom too
much or too fast if you want to be able to recognize what's in
your photo. In photoshop, I used a perspective crop to straighten
the lines, bumped up the contrast and saturation, and applied
a B&W adjustment layer with a radial gradient mask so the color would
bleed thru on the edges. Just some fun stuff.

This is one technique that's on my list to try this year. This picture certainly is an inspiration. Very good!
