WybunburyTower built 1470
by John Routerer

Cheshire UK

James Trubshaw (1777-1853), a famous civil engineer and builder was the architect/builder of the Grosvenor Bridge over the River Dee at Chester which was the longest single span stone bridge in the world when built in 1832. Strangely, and probably uniquely, he also restored to perpendicular the leaning tower of St Chad's Church, Wybunbury, near Nantwich in 1832.

A beautifully shot image - I like the mystery of the tower, it's top enmeshed with branches and it's base rooted to the ground with the off-angled head-stones.
