Water Lily

Stony Brook Audubon Sanctuary, Norfolk, MA

I was just trying to take a picture of a water lily. I had no idea the light reflecting on the water would create this silver effect, but I think it is neat. BTW the lens is the Sigma 55-200mm f\4-5.6 DC, it is not listed in the drop down box.

Canon EOS 350D
1/4000s f/8.0 at 161.0mm (35mm equivalent: 261mm) iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

The flower really stands out against the silver background. I also like the pad on the right center that is normal color.

I really like this, so metallic, like it has mercury in it!!

Looks as though you threw quick silver all over.. very nice effect.. it's these mistakes that somtimes make fantastic shots..love it
