Thanks for the suggestion, I don't know why I didn't do that before. Right now pbase won't let me replace this without losing comments, but the altered version can be seen at

Love this shot! Couldn't you use photoshop to select the imp & sharpen him up some if it bugs you? So glad you posted, hope you post some more. No, you don't have time to make every shot perfect so better not to miss the imperfect ones. Glad some folks are posting suggestions on how we might change settings so if we see an opportunity like this one we might know how we can set it up if we have time. Thanks Jean & all for sharing!

She would not have to use a flash she could have used a faster ISO and the would have allowed her to use a smaller aperture. Or if this was posed she could have asked the boy to lean in closer to the girl. It would have been nice to see them both sharp, but if these were my kids I would still like this picture and would print it for my album.

A lovely captured moment, but looking at the exif info, if you did increase the f-stop to get a greater dof, then you may have to go to a fill flash to speed up the shot, personaly - I also would like to see both kids in sharp focus...

I think I would perfer it more if both the imp and the angel were in focus.

Very cute! I love the look on his face. Nice job. Color to me looks ok; if there is anything wrong it would be that the boy is a bit soft while the girl is shaper. Smaller aperture would have helped, or if the boy was leaning in toward the girl. But it is a good picture how it is, because it captures a moment....

I have to disagree with the others.. yes a cute photo but find it a bit pale in colour,
I think a bit deeper in colour..+1 to 4 in contrast..the girl is better than the boy..

I like not only the personality contrasts but the focus contrast as well.
