GaryNZ @ Tongariro National Park

Tongariro National Park, New Zealand

Tongariro is New Zealand's oldest national park and a dual World Heritage area. This status recognises the park's important Maori cultural and spiritual associations as well as its outstanding volcanic features. It is a place of extremes and surprises, a place to explore and remember. From herb fields to forests, from tranquil lakes to desert-like plateau and active volcanoes - Tongariro has them all.

Hi Gary

I personally find the near cloud fuzzy and distracting. It seems to be the focal point to my eye. If you cloned out about half of it (on the right), and did some strategic cropping, I think I would personally like it better. If you post it in the help gallery, I'll attempt it for you.

I agree with Rafi, a crop of the peak using the rule of thirds would be interesting. I would also consider reducing the drop shadow on the photo a bit & see what you think.

A great shot colour and contrast..
I would also try a crop of the center only..

Really nice landscape and good description.
Did you use a polarizer? Looks like you did.
