Thanks ...he was toooo close he was sitting on top of a wooden fence post, I was in my truck driving down a narrow road, rolled down the passenger window and started shooting. I took some verticals too but still couldn't get all of the bird in the frame. ;)
Most of the time 400mm isn't enough LOL!

awesome sharp shot with excellent detail and I love the background blur - pity there isn't more showing of the hawk....
