I made a minor change to my home made diffuser to send more light up for bounce and less direct. This softens the shadows behind the subject but still can not eliminate them when close to a wall as here. This image might make more sense if you know the book is titled "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?". Tyrannosaurus (right) likes to be shown pictures of his kind in books.
