What a lovely family group. A beautiful shot of some gorgeous dogs.
Re the dark face - think photoshop layers

Nice portrait. My dogs never stay put, except my old one :)

Very nice portrait! You probably have some detail in the dog's black head, but would have to use Photoshop to bring it out. I'm a Photoshop neophyte, but usually get good results (with a few tries!). See my POTW; I had problems with exposure which I had to remedy and it worked well. Try selecting his/her head with your choice of tool (lasso, selection brush, magic wand), being sure to feather the edge a couple of pixels. Then go to levels and move the middle slider to the left until it looks good (don't overdo it). Deselect and "save as" a new file. I would be happy to try myself if you care to send me the full size file; I enjoy fiddling. If it worked, I would, of course, send it back to you. Your dogs are very photogenic! --- Claude (dancerdoc@yahoo.com)

Try some flash to get more from the black dog.
