Beautiful composition with nicely soften background.

Good shot Lesley, @ 200mm that is close, love the composition with the rock lower left bringing the bird nicely into the frame...

It let you get fairly close. All the ones I've tried to photograph usually get too antsy if I get that close. Nice capture and pose.

what a lovely pose and such perfect colors--he / she couldn't have posed in a better spot.

Lovely colour harmony between the nicely posed cormorant and the background water colour!

Nice pose - but give the sensor a swipe or clone out the dust bunny

Excellent shot, our eyes are taken straight to his gorgeous blue eye - watch that sharp beak though...
Guest 31-Oct-2009 03:46
Love the pose and the way the colour of its beak comes back in the background.

Wonderful capture Leslie. I've not seen one up close before.
