I came across several dogs during my week on Sardinia - this was just one of them. Couldn't tell for definite how (un)friendly he was but having been bitten on the abdomen earlier in the week, I wasn't taking the risk of finding out!

Just a note to say that I'm amazed at the quality of the Sigma 150 macro for pet portraits. As good as any of my L lenses in this respect.
