When an old friend passed away a few years ago, I rescued his cats. It took time and patience, but eventually Kazoo and Sarah became comfortable with my place and always returned home after their wanderings. Kazoo would sit at the corner of the porch, waiting patiently for Sarah to return. Sadly, I lost Sarah to cancer and Kazoo missed his little friend. Kazoo had once been a feral cat and was very leery of people, but he trusted me. This winter he developed liver disease and now I've lost my beautiful big sweet boy.
