Bouncing Ball

I used a Sigma EF-500DG set to 1/128 power 24Hz and 18 flashes. A dark towel is the background. I could not get the flash to strobe on the 5Dmk2 for this shot. Any thoughts as to why?

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM II
2s f/10.0 at 20.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
