Dark Chocolate Disaronno Amaretto Truffle
by

We were at the mall for a birthday party at Build a Bear for one of Ginsey's classmates. Lara had a coupon for some chocolate. She went and got it while I waited to pay for the Moose clothing. She came back with a small box and said that she had gotten 8 truffles for about $35. About a week later I was rumaging thru the fridge and found them. Wow, 5 left. Uhoh is this a test? Will he eat the forbidden chocolate of the wife unit? "Hey honey? Can I have one of the truffles?" "Sure they aren't very good."

Sure enough no amaretto flavor and soft and goey other shell. I knew that by the second bite that I could do better and I did.

Mine have a crisp 72% dark chocolate shell, a coarse almond butter and dark chocolate truffle filled with Disaronno Amaretto liquid center.

I had to go on a panty raid to find a nice red satin background that had the right naughty look to it. Don't tell the wife but her panties are on the internet now.

I have no doubt that you are a good cook, but frankly, and I'm sorry to have to say this, you don't have a clue how to photograph the dishes you are preparing. Food photography is one of the most demanding and difficult photographic specialities. I'm not particularly adept at it, so don't do it often. However, I know a good food shot when I see it. Your lighting and perspective is generally wrong for your shots, and your choice of background is often distracting. A macro lens is not the right lens for this type of shot. Since you do a lot of cooking, and do it well I presume, I also presume you will want to continue this type of photography. I would suggest that you study this type of photography with the same intensity that you have studied cooking. Get some books on this and take some courses or seminars. Please accept this as constructive criticism, as that is the vein in which it is offered.
