I first used Noise Ninja to remove the noise, then a quick mask (Q then B for brush) to mask just up to the edge of the moon, and then Select/Inverse. I then sharpened with:

Radius: 4.1
Threshold: 0

Deselected, and then did a curves adjustment to increase the contrast a bit.
