I hunted all around until I found these pics...some of my lifetime favorites...as the hummers have been scarce this year...what a delight to stumble on this charming and amazing story again
Yesterday, little Marie flew off too. Later, though she tried to come back and bumped into the window... They she clung to the stucco, just under the window for a bit..I went out to see if she was okay, then I saw Mother Hummer flying around. They really are good Mothers.. I went back inside, and they both flew away. She will feed them, after they leave the nest, until they get the hang of things . Sooo, now I wait to see if the nest will fill up once more : ). Last time, it took a week or so before Taanya moved in...
