get on the bus...

photos depicting the 5 days a week treck from Woodland Hills, CA to
Kaiser Sunset (or as i prefer Kaiser Soucey from Usual Suspects) for
Radiation Therapy. I'm hoping to show life's little joys, pleasures and
illustrate the journey that we shuttle bus riders shared for a few weeks of
our lives. Also, for family, friends and anyone interested, I present a few
of Kaiser's finest staff, with their friendly smiles. The massive Radiation
"zapper" is also featured. It doesn't hurt, there is no sensation at all, unless
one counts the warning noise that the machine is operating. Trying to breathe
normally was my biggest challenge. After a time, the skin does get very red.
What was amazing to me, is that it looked as if i was done up with masking tape;
the "red paint" line was so precise :).
March 4, 2005 - Now that it has been almost a month since my journey with these
people has concluded, I still cherish those days for the people this event brought
into my life. Sharing our lives, for this period, was for me, a time of growth and
development (and i thought i was "all done" :). Life is a wonderful adventure. Blessings
and robust good health to one and all.
