March 8 - 5:35 p.m.

Victoria, B.C.

This is my submission for a DPChallenge "surreal" challenge. I had to increase brightness quite a bit and realize I should have had my husband stand closer to the fisheye to make his legs look "surreal-ly" long. I decreased the blue saturation to give the sky the effect you see here.

This is great. As I looked at it I though 'how surreal' and then I saw your description and it turns out you achieved your goal. Nice.

Christina, This is a very interesting shot. I'd entitle it "RIP" were it mine. It gives me a "view from the grave" perspective. But not in a creepy sense, more like a "Rest in Peace" feel. Your composition and the interesting sky make this work really well. A 10.5mm fisheye perhaps? I appreciate such elegant use of the more unusual glass available. You've also made me begin thinking about using my fisheye for something again. Well done, thanks for sharing.

This is quite eye-catching, Christina. Its an awesome viewpoint, and I see you came 8th out of 255 - no mean feat! Congratulations!

Not sure what the DPChallenge is - but I think you have a good chance with this image! :o)

I feel like a goldfish ;-) Your husband looks like he's thinking "I told you they need food". I'm examining your galleries and having a ball. The bears are amazing! You have a spirit that survives, thrives and manifests all the way from the family album to bits and bytes on Pbase. Excellent life and work. I feel a little less hungry and a little more hope. Just a photograph . . . . . Thanks - g

What a neat perspective. Looks like I'm below the ground and you're looking down at me.

ah... you are burying the camera and the lens... really surreal in nature though.
