The Victoria legislature buildlings are lit up with Christmas lights every December. The buildilngs house the provincial government for British Columbia. Taken with a Nikkor 10.5mm f 2.8 lens.
What's this obsession with perfect horizons and minor detail - I think it's been established for some time that the earth is not flat!
I originally clicked on this one because of the magical quality to this picture - the blue sky, the star, and of course the patterns made by the lights.
hehe another slightly crooked one, like, 2 degrees or so.
but great use of fisheye/wideangle/whatever... my only recommendation would be to maybe next time shoot a bit higher i.e. get a bit more of the sky and a little longer shutter time to make the building a bit brighter, er, atually take that back, i think the dullness of the lights is due to JPG compression. oh well. i'm still drawn to this for some reason...
