This bird was photographed at Medusa Marsh in Northwest Ohio.
It is likely a first fall individual. They are quite rare in Ohio, but found annualy.
The field marks suggest a White-faced Ibis, however the evidence is not conclusive.
It could also be a Glossy Ibis, or a hybrid between the two,
which I'm told are on the increase.
