American Woodcock - A shot in the Dark

The only available light was what was cast by a quarter moon, and some distant street lights. I was playing their peenting and twittering calls on my MP3 player. It got the attention of a couple birds that would occasionaly fly a circle around me, then dive into the field. My SB600 flash chose this time not to function, so this shot was with onboard flash only. I pre-focussed to approximately the distance I thought they were flying by. When the next one swung around, with my camera held at arms length, I panned the bird and pulled the trigger. Bet I couldn't do that again!
