brilliant use of the sign and framing of the subjects. art has such a deep and amazing effect on people and this picture really touches on that. i feel so close that i should be able to hear the man's thoughts. it's as though Kandinsky's gallery of abstraction has sent him into his own abstract world where concepts have shifted and he has to reevaluate things he thought he could take at face value. emotions and ideas have somersaulted. he looks so lost and confused. dark or light? reality or fantasy? what i see or what i feel?

(i think if you can clear the orange/white/blue distractions from the bottom left you'll increase that intensity.)

Love it. The path to abstraction... he looks confused by the concept. Maybe getting a second opinion from his shoulder pal. Great stuff craig. Amazing how it looks like a normal street candid at first and then....

Well said by Doug. Agree with Duncan, great eye, timing and dof. His glance and expression seemed to be directed at the woman or the signboard. Was he or were you on the path to abstraction, Craig? Brilliant.
