Frank in on the left, Tom is on the right.
This email was sent to my cousin several years ago:
On 22 January 2002 Tom Milner, a grandson of Thomas and Coela Milner, sent the following e-mail.
My grandparents, Thomas Lee Milner (son of William Handley Milner) and
Coela Odessa Reppond married in 1927 and moved to Gooseneck (a small
community on the Sabine River) in Hunt County. He was a mule driver and was
working with Henry Dooley (his first cousin). Then in the early 30's moved
to Cash and started cotton farming on a 60 acre hill he leased that is
adjacent to our current home place. My Dad, John Handley Milner was born in
1936, and my grandparents bought their farm in the mid forties.
My Grandfather was born in 1898, and was ineligible for WWI due to the fact
that he'd caught pneumonia and had one lung removed. Also, due to bone
cancer in his ankle, he had it removed and replaced with a steel hinge.
While he was alive and living in Cash, he was a mule driver, barber, and
I've been told he played the guitar at the Saturday night Jamborees in
Quinlan.
I don't know if any of this is new to you, but that's most of what I can
recall.
Regards,
Tom
In 1930 Frank was living in Hunt County, Texas with his cousin Henry Dooley.
He was a rancher and lived at Detroit, Texas.
He was buried at Memoryland Memorial Park.
