Day 3 - Raiatea

We took a tour from the dock, probably our best one in Polynesia.
We visited a pearl farm, a vanilla farm, a small island (motu) in
the lagoon, and a trip up one of the rivers on the island. The seat
of government for the Society Islands is located on Raiatea, so
there are lots of government employees who live there.

Yes, Raiatea and Moorea are very beautiful, but I think Bora Bora is even more scenic. It was summertime there when we visited, and the water was warm, the breezes refreshing, and we only had a few brief showers, mainly at night while we were on the ship...
