When we got home from Chicago, the amaryllis bulb was
about ready to bloom. This was a bulb that brother Scott
and Mary gave us for Christmas 2005. After it bloomed
then, I just set it with our other indoor plants in the
back yard, and brought it in the basement last fall.
The bulb grew much larger, and I guess this is the natural
time for them to bloom.
