While visiting James & Nadia, the Chicago Marathon was run on
October 8th. They take the kids downtown each year to see it,
and they have friends who run in it also. It was a chilly
fall day, especially with the wind off Lake Michigan, but it
was more comfortable after we moved our chairs to the street
intersection in the sun.

The field is limited to 40,000 runners, and this year the entrys
closed in July, and 18,000 applicants were turned away. More than
one million people line the streets along the 26-mile route to watch
the event. James' & Nadia's friends, John & Paige Balcer came down
and watched and visited with us also.
