A Rainy Day Ballgame - Cardinals and Rockies - May 10 2006

The Cardinals played a day game on Wednesday, and I wanted
to try out the new ticket purchase procedure for the "First
Pitch Tickets" program. It works like this- Every game day
the Cardinals sell 125 vouchers for 2 tickets each, starting
at 9:00 a.m. until they are all sold. The voucher price is
$11.00 for two tickets. Then 10 minutes before the game starts,
the voucher holders enter the stadium thru a certain gate with
their voucher and photo ID card. Once thru the turnstile you
are given an envelope with the tickets in them. You open the
envelope to see where your seats are. The tickets in the envelopes
are ones that are unused by the Cardinal Players, Visiting Team
returns, and other unsold tickets. The seats could be anywhere
in the stadium, but are usually very good tickets. Here are some
pictures taken near the stadium before the game, and a few inside
the new stadium during and after the game.
