Flight to Jaffna

I flew from Colombo to Jaffna with Expo Air, which conducts daily flights between the two cities from Ratnamalana, a domestic and military airport, about 12km south of Colombo. Photography is forbidden during the flight but I could not resist taking some shots as there was no other in-flight entertainment - as well as my usual desire to record the journey.

Interesting. One seldom flies low enough to see much detail on the ground, although on my last trip to China we flew over the outskirts of Manila.
