The Name - Playing with Words
The name of our bar "Madam's Organ" is derived from "Adams Morgan", the DC neighborhood in which the bar is located. Adams Morgan is an exciting and eclectic neighborhood in Washington DC with a wide variety of great ethnic restaurants and cool night spots. In fact, Adams Morgan is widely known by Washingtonians for surpassing Georgetown as the number one place for restaurants and clubs in DC.

History - Not all Black and White
Cool story. We got our name from the neighborhood, but the neighborhood, Adams Morgan, gets it's name from two schools that used to be located in the area; The Adams School and The Morgan School. In times of segregation, one school was dedicated to white people and the other to black people. The bringing together of the name represents the bringing together of the people. Now, the Adams Morgan neighborhood is much more than just black and white; It's an harmonious multicultural society.
