Hi Miles, very nice, I actually like the fact it is not in perfect focus, I agree it gives it a certain feeling, like you know how sun can make things look that way when gleeming through the window? I love how the cat is looking straight at you, like saying "take the picture and get out of my space!" Thanx for sharing, Cindy.

Thanks all,

I appreciate the comments. The fuzziness is deliberate. It was not the exact result I wanted but I liked it. I took three seperate layers and merged them. The original picture was copied reduced to 50 percent transparency, and then I used enphasize edges. I laid this layer over the original. I then took another copy of the original reduced the transparency to 50% and added a gausean blur 0f 35 and merged the three. I was looking for more of a ghostly effect. I'll have to play around more with it.

What suprised me was that the EXIF information still came across. I did this image in PhotoImpact and renamed it from the original. Usually I loose the EXIF information. This time it was saved with the file.

Miles,

Nice black and white photograph, the next time you try this, you might want to use a tripod and the timer so the picture is sharper - but maybe you did this for atmosphere.
The fuzziness does add atmosphere.

Cute kitty. Did you try sharpening it? I think it little sharper and crop some of the carpet on the bottom. Just my opinion.

Hey, it's good Miles, but I would have zoomed in some, kinda to fill the frame more with the cat and the window. The cat is telling me "don't go down there, you fool!" Why do I feel like I'm looking down?

Hi Miles - Interesting light glows. This picture draws me upstairs to have a look! -Pat

Cool Photo. Look like the cat is scared.
