Chris Fitz

The Chicken Bone Saloon is one of those lost souls, that needs to be found. The crowd is great, the prices are more than reasonable, and the entertainment is the BEST. If you are in the Boston area take the short 20 minute ride up I93 and have a great time. The weekends see a larger crowd, and you can call and reserve your seats. Best of all there is NEVER a cover. They pass a bucket, and the money spent is more than worth the evening. http://www.thechickenbone.com I saw two bands there. The second was "The Chris Fitz Band" and they BLAZE!! Chris Fitz totally wales on the guitar, his riff's are solid and powerful, and the performance rocks. The trio totally brings together a fresh rock-tastic Blues sound that will knock your socks off. Where ever you are if you hear Chris and his goup are playing go see, you won't be disapointed. Words From His Web Site: It would be a significant understatement to say that the Chris Fitz Band has matured into one of New England's premier "original" bands. Consider the following awards and accolades the band has received since those early days at Waldo's: 2002 Boston Music Award nominees and Winners for "Outstanding New Blues Act". 2003 International Songwriting Competition finalist and runner up for the single "Never Been To Memphis" from the bands heralded third CD Journey Of Hope. 2003 selection to perform award winning song with Rock Icon Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull at the Berklee Performing Arts Center for the 'Rubbing Elbow's Tour", and not to be overlooked, the band is closing in on 10,000 copies sold of their three CD's, Just Gettin' Started(1998), This Is My Church(2000), and Journey Of Hope(2002) all with no record deal and no distribution. This alone, is a testament to their intoxicating live show. Yes, the Chris Fitz Band still delivers loads of spirit, conviction, energy and pizzazz like the old days, but make no mistake, the band has since broken through the invisible wall that separates the wannabe's from the pro's, displaying the finesse and maturity of the seasoned band it has become. With nearly 1,500 gigs under their belt, the growth in musicianship, dynamic's, songwriting, and overall artistry of the band is now clearly on display in both their studio efforts and on stage. http://www.chrisfitzband.com/ My sincere thanks to the band for allowing me to shoot this performence.
