Sometimes being lucky is just that!! My mom told me everything happens for a reason. Last night I found out what that reason was. I was blessed to have been able to share one of the best live musical experiences ever with my wife Melissa. When I was laid off in 2008, and took a position in Madison some months later, and then when my wife took me on a date to the Locker Room, and I happened to shoot a few photos of a great blues band, "The Electric Road Kings". Little did I know that those events would introduce me to Rob Corbit Jr., who would then invite me out to shoot his birthday jam.

WOW, is about all I can say. A whirlwind of phenomenal blues, from some of the best. Talula's was the place, April 17th, 2010 was the date, and the place was packed with people and musicians. So many musicians in fact that they could not all fit on the stage. This was truly a rare treat where fellow musicians came to wish Rob Corbit Jr., happy birthday in the only way possible, through music, and we were the ones to receive the gift. Bob was awesome as usual on sax, and Rob Thundering on drums they gave some memory lasting performances. It was cool also to see Bob sit in the audience and jam from the seats while his friends blew away the stage. There were two harmonica players that simply blew their pipes out. One gentleman serenaded a young Green Eyed Round Butted Russian birthday girl (His Words. Not Mine). It was great to hear his rendition of a birthday song and she and her friends jump to the floor and dance.
