Yep, that's cat's painting of the state capitol building in Columbia, South Carolina, and it's hanging as the main lobby art piece for the Hilton Hotel Convention Center property. Kewl :)
(I don't live in South Carolina; this was a commission I did.)

This is Issue #11. I haven't received it yet, but my friend, Sue, in the UK
sent me a scan of the cover to show me that my artwork was on it! Kewl :)

Well, I thought it was probably be a once in a lifetime thing when I had a tutorial printed in issue #8, but I have two tutorials and a Q&A in Issue #9 :)

The October '07 issue of Corel Painter magazine has my tutorial in it.
Challenge-2.jpg
Imagine my surprise.
I had just posted the previous image, a runner-up in the first Corel Painter magazine challenge, and a friend in one of the forums told me I had also won First Place in another challenge with this painting! I owe so much to the Corel Painter people. Besides making their awesome digital art programs available, they've chosen my work for recognition in 3 competitions.
I am humbled and grateful.
With these virtual brushes I've discovered a whole new world of possibilities for my art.
Thank you, Corel Painter.

This was an "also ran" (runner-up), but I was happy to have a thumbnail of it in the 4th issue of Corel Painter magazine. It was a manipulation combining several photos. The urn began as a mushroom :)
(Thanks, Keith)
